If you want to take a vacation out of the states, it’s important to read up on other countries and how they respect black travelers, especially black women. Here is a recap of five places to travel safely as a black woman, even as a solo traveler.
5. Mexico
Mexico has been a #1 tourism vacation spot for Americans for years, so it comes as no surprise how respectful they are towards black women. The country is very affordable to travel to from the states, and the beaches are absolutely beautiful. Plus, Mexico is home to so many all-inclusive resorts, which are a perfect way to get the best bang for your buck when traveling.

There are countless YouTube videos of black women traveling to Costa Rica and having an amazing time. And there's a reason for that: the country is so welcoming and it's the perfect place to walk around in your best summer wear.

Do you want to ride a camel? Or visit the world’s largest mall? Well, you can do all of this and more when traveling to Dubai. Dubai is very big on respect, so as long as you follow their regulations on clothing and language, you will have a great experience when traveling the area.

There is not an official rainy season for the area, but you want to steer clear from visiting during hurricane season. Otherwise, expect breathtaking views with sunny weather every time you visit.

Portugal is home to a large Afro-Portugese population so most travelers feel comfortable exploring the country and seeing what it has to offer. Lisbon, Portugal has specifically become a hotspot for black travelers in recent years.
